Information for College Access Professionals

Description of the Arizona College Access Network (AzCAN)

The AzCAN is an organization of college access professionals dedicated to the expansion and improvement of services to low-income, first-generation Arizonans to prepare for, plan, transition and succeed in postsecondary education.

The goals of AzCAN include:

  • encouraging active partiicpation of programs across Arizona
  • building relationships with and among college access professionals statewide
  • providing benefits to encourage participation which will improve program performance
  • establishing standards of performance based upon current research and best practices

Members of the AzCAN will receive the following benefits:

  • Listing in the statewide member directory available to the public
  • Attend regional meetings highlighting best practices with no charge
  • Develop collaborations in order to respond to a variety of funding issues
  • Receive e-newsletters including updates on state and national issues
  • Professional development opportunities (state and national) and conferences at a reduced fee
  • Webinars on a variety of college access subjects
  • Learn about fund development and program sustainability
  • Partner and learn from other programs
  • Share resource materials (ex: handouts, tool kits, etc.)
